Railway Recruitment Boards have issued Centralised Employment Notice No. 05/2025 for recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant across multiple railway zones in India. This recruitment is a golden opportunity for engineering and science graduates who wish to secure a government job in the technical departments of Indian Railways. Candidates can apply online, provided they meet all eligibility conditions. Selection will consist of CBTs, document verification and medical fitness. JE: Three years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Communication or allied streams) or Bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream from a recognized university/institute.
DMS: Three years Diploma in Engineering in any discipline.
CMA: B.Sc. (Chemistry or Physics) from a recognized university.
Note: Final year/semester students not eligible. Higher qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech are acceptable for corresponding disciplines.

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 33 years as on 01.01.2026
Upper age relaxation: OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), PwBD (10 to 15 years depending on category), Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per rules.

General/OBC/EWS: Rs.500/- (Rs.400/- refunded after appearing in CBT-I)

1. Visit the official RRB portal of the preferred zone.
2. Create an account using valid mobile number and email ID. Aadhaar-based authentication recommended.
3. Fill the online application, enter detailed personal, educational and preference information.
4. Capture live photograph as per instructions – do not upload pre-existing picture.
5. Upload scanned signature and supporting documents as required.
6. Pay application fee online and confirm submission.
7. Modification facility available for a limited window post submission (fee applicable).
8. Submit and retain confirmation for future reference.

• Can I apply for more than one RRB? No, only one application for one RRB is allowed.
