About the Role & Work Environment

The L'Oréal Visual Merchandising intern role requires a proactive, "roll up your sleeves" attitude and a readiness to dive into fast-paced retail environments. When a new product is launched, it will be your job to think of unique, compelling ways to present it to customers nationwide, assess competitors, and continuously elevate L'Oréal's retail game. Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Visual Merchandising team with the preparation and planning of new brand launches and promotional events.
- Partner directly with relevant retailers (e.g., Tesco, Debenhams) to ensure visual merchandising guidelines are correctly implemented across the UK.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to design, manage, and develop Point of Sale (POS) units and coordinate their printing and distribution.
- Update, develop, and design detailed planograms to guide retail stores on how to optimally present their product lines.
- Liaise with marketing and sales departments to confirm creative direction and verify stock levels.
- Conduct regular in-store visits to track competitor activity, gathering photos and structural details to compile monthly reports for the Marketing Team and General Manager.
- Attend industry trade shows and supplier fairs on behalf of the Visual Merchandising team.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Educational Status: You must be in your second year at University on a course that enables you to take a summer internship. (Note: Graduates and final-year students are not eligible).
- Technical Skills: Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe InDesign is considered a strong advantage.
