Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking FUSA Engineer

key skills and Qualifications :

• Define and Engineer Software Safety requirements from the Technical safety requirements
• Perform Software safety analysis like FMEA, FTA, CPA, FFI, and DFA
• Implementation of AUTOSAR Functional Safety Measures in Application and Base Software Modules
• Participate in the review of Product component safety architecture & design
• Implementation of safety mechanisms from the Safety Manuals and the integration and configuration of Safety modules released by Suppliers (e.g.: SafeTpack)
• Work with the Component supplier to fulfill Functional Safety requirements
• Ensuring the software development team tests the software on the SIL, HIL, and vehicle according to ISO 26262-6
• Manage the application of the functional safety process
• Support in the development of Artefacts required for Functional safety Audits/Assessments as per ISO26262 guidelines.
• Work with the multiple suppliers to complete the DIA, safety plan and support the development of the technical safety concept.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Computer Science
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Automotive domain
• Automotive Software Development experience
• Experience in creating safety concepts and analyses
• Knowledge of ISO26262 or IEC61508, Automotive SPICE preferably with formal certification
• Played/ Currently playing roles as FUSA Engineer or FUSA Developer
• Very good knowledge of AUTOSAR, DaVinci, Medini Analysis, UML (Unified Modeling Language) and PREEVision
• Experience in dealing with ISO 26262 with a focus on AUTOSAR Application/Basic software and a TÜV ISO 26262 certification (desirable)
• Usage of DOORS Next Gen for Requirement Elicitation
• CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet protocol knowledge
• Usage of Vector CAN tools - CANOE
• Exposure to Advanced Driver Assistance systems – Preferred
• Formal Functional Safety Certification
• Good communication skills and ability to work in & contribute as a good team player
• Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multicultural environment is an added advantage
• Basic knowledge in the German language is preferred
• Vehicle driving skills are preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication/Electrical and Electronics/Computer Science
• 2- 7 years of experience in the Automotive domain
