Eligibility & Key Criteria
- Qualifications: As in table above, from recognized university/institute; PhD holders preferred.
- Experience: As per category – min. 10 yrs (1.8L), 12 yrs (2L) in relevant WB/solid waste/sewage/standard field
- Age: Not exceeding 63 years (as on 10 Nov 2025)
- Engagement: 12 months, extendable as per project & performance
Note: Past contract/research/teaching/PhD not counted towards min experience. Only full-time, post-qualification work considered.
Selection Process
- Mode: Personal or online interview (slot/link sent by RITES via email/SMS)
- Shortlisting based on eligibility/experience in application + document verification (online or physical)
- Merit-based selection: Technical skills, project fit, subject knowledge, communication
- Offer of engagement only after client (project) CV approval

General Terms & Contract
- Consultants appointed full-time, cannot take any other paid assignment during service
- Engagement is temporary/project-specific. RITES may terminate contract any time with 1 mo. notice
- One month notice required by candidate for resignation
- Leave: 1.5 days/month completed service (other as per company policy)
- Maximum age for engagement/extension: 65 years
- No statutory benefits: PF/ESI/Gratuity etc. Not eligible for regular RITES posts
- No TA/DA for joining, interview, or selection process
