About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply modern Artificial Intelligence methods to conduct groundbreaking research across the Earth System Simulation stack.
- Develop and optimize models for generative data assimilation and hybrid climate simulation.
- Create full model emulations of highly complex climate model components.
- Advance technologies for regional-to-global high-resolution AI autoregressive weather prediction and dynamical downscaling.
- Drive ambiguous, complex research projects end-to-end within a fast-paced, constantly changing software environment.
Eligibility Criteria
- Background Profile: Candidates must be either strong computer scientists with a sufficient working knowledge of physical weather/climate systems, OR domain scientists with robust computational and AI skills.
