About the Programme & Work Environment

Operational since 2011, the Junior Public Health Professional (JPP) Programme in the WHO South-East Asia Region (SEAR) aims to provide young public health professionals with a valuable opportunity for hands-on learning and leadership development. The program seeks to strengthen the technical and management capacities of emerging experts by actively engaging them in the implementation and monitoring of priority health programs. Fellows will be deeply exposed to the strategies and working modalities of WHO, gaining invaluable inter-governmental experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively coordinate, plan, and assist in the implementation of priority public health program activities.
  • Review, consolidate, and analyze public health data and technical reports.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, briefing notes, and technical documents for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in and support the organization of workshops, meetings, and capacity-building events.
  • Collaborate effectively within multicultural teams and demonstrate an openness to diverse perspectives to achieve regional health goals.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
