Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute a large-scale project using a LIDAR scanner to successfully model a designated center building.
  • Develop a comprehensive energy model based on the data captured from the LIDAR scanning.
  • Assist engineering teams in the detailed review of facility energy audits.
  • Support the development of performance contract projects aimed at improving resource efficiency across KSC.
  • Help ensure the program meets necessary federal reporting requirements.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

  • Academic Level: Must be a currently enrolled Undergraduate Junior or Undergraduate Senior.
  • Citizenship: US Citizenship is strictly required for this position.
  • Preferred Majors: Candidates should ideally be pursuing a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Construction Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Surveying Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: While prior Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience is explicitly not required, a strong willingness to learn new technical modeling tools is essential for success in this role.
