About the Role & Work Environment
RBC's Enterprise Control Testing (ECT), aligned under the Enterprise Chief Controls Office (ECCO), is a centralized group responsible for executing control testing across the organization. This team partners with diverse business functions to establish procedures, provide oversight, and undertake control assurance activities in accordance with the internal Control Management Policy. As an intern based in Putrajaya, Malaysia, you will provide critical backend and operational support, enabling senior analysts to execute control testing efficiently and report on the state of the risk environment to Senior Management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support analysts by preparing testing templates, document request lists, trackers, and standard documentation.
- Collect, label, and organize evidence received from control owners, performing completeness checks to ensure alignment with testing requests.
- Update status trackers, logs, and dashboards to reflect testing progress and escalate any delays or gaps in a timely manner.
- Assist in updating process documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal guides based on team instructions.
- Provide operational support by scheduling meetings, managing shared mailboxes, and supporting onboarding/offboarding activities like access requests.
- Follow strict data handling, confidentiality, and information security requirements at all times.
