Big Data Engineer | Mercedes
Qualifications :
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or
equivalent work and preferably certified in project management
Expertise in Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, NoSQL
databases, etc.
Good knowledge of data architecture patterns (Data lake house, delta lake, streaming,
Lambda/Kappa architecture)
Experience in working as a Big Data Architect: query tuning, performance tuning,
troubleshooting, and debugging Spark and other big data solutions.
Familiarity with a full range of data engineering approaches, covering theoretical best
practices and the technical applications of these methods.
Familiarity with databases and analytics technologies in the industry including Data
Warehousing/ETL, Relational Databases, or MPP
Hands-on experience with DWH, ETL/ELT process, ETL tools, relational DB or MPP, and
exposure to query tuning and performance tuning
Strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Python, PySpark, SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse,
Storage accounts, Notebooks, data analytics tools, visualization tools (e.g. Power BI)
Hands-on experience with any of the cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
Background in full stack data engineering (Frontend - Vue.JS / JavaScript/ Type script
and Backend Development - Python)
Working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD including deploying a range of data engineering
pipelines into production, and testing techniques.
Working Knowledge on Containers and Kubernetes.
Agile development experience, Experience in product development using SAFe,
Strong in presentation, communication (written and verbal English), and interpersonal
skills and comfortable in liaising with stakeholders independently
Previous experience providing consulting delivery leadership in discovering and shaping
opportunities, solution development, proposal generation, and deal closing stages.
Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment
Desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets, and drive team s
potential
