Overview : 

Azure Storage is one of the foundational services in the Azure Cloud and consists of a Storage Platform that currently powers various different storage services including Blob Storage, Table Storage (NoSql Key Value store), Queue Storage, File Storage (new SMB-based File Storage), Disk Storage and Data Lake Store (HDFS compliant) which support a variety of storage and analytic workloads. The service hosts data from some of the largest companies in the world supports all of Microsoft’s largest online businesses including Xbox, Skype, and Bing, and has scaled to store exabytes of customer data with the roadmap looking even better in terms of growth. As part of this team, you will work on the biggest of the big data services in Microsoft, live the services culture, and embrace and learn in a fast-paced, live-site-focused environment delivering customer value with everything we do. 

Qualifications :

• 4+ years of experience in developing quality products and services, preferably in systems and backend services 
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field  
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java or C# - in multi-threaded or concurrent environments 
• Strong CS and engineering fundamentals and ability/interest in learning new technologies 
• Experience in designing/implementing distributed systems, metadata management, databases, and multi-threaded programming is preferred. 
• Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence at scale. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Experience in systems programming, operating systems, cloud services, and security including high-performance distributed storage and networking is a definite plus
