Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Ahmedabad invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement of 2 Part-Time Banks Medical Consultants (BMC) on purely contractual basis for 3 years with fixed hourly remuneration for dispensaries attached to office buildings and residential colonies.

• Educational Qualification:
  • MBBS degree from any university recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in Allopathic system (Essential)
  • Post Graduate degree in General Medicine (Desirable)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience practicing Allopathic medicine in any hospital or clinic as Medical Practitioner
• Location: Applicant should have dispensary or residence within 10-15 km radius from RBI dispensaries
• Registration: Valid registration with Medical Council

Hourly Remuneration	₹1,000 per hour
Conveyance Allowance	₹1,000 per month (included in monthly remuneration)
Mobile Reimbursement	₹1,000 per month (included in monthly remuneration)
Holiday Compensation	₹1,000 per hour (if required to attend on public holiday)
Maximum Hours	Up to 30 hours per week across all dispensaries

Important: No other facilities/perks, superannuation benefits (Pension, PF, Gratuity), leave, or perquisites will be provided. Remuneration paid as per actual duty hours performed (all inclusive).

• Provide medical consultation, advice, prescribe medicines and administer injections free of charge to RBI staff, family members, and MAFS members
• Attend dispensary as per prescribed duty hours (excluding bank holidays)
• Treatment of minor and major illnesses; emergency case handling
• Home visits to staff quarters when required (visit fees as per RBI schedule)
• Issue medical certificates for leave and fitness certification
• Monthly inspection of office premises and quarters for sanitation and hygiene
• Prophylactic inoculations, vaccination, and drug stock management
• Submit annual health report of staff (by 31st March)
• Perform all duties of a General Medical Practitioner

1. Shortlisting: Based on eligibility and application documents
2. Document Verification: Verification of all certificates and credentials
3. Interview: RBI reserves right to raise minimum eligibility standards to limit candidates
4. Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates must undergo medical examination (at candidate's cost)
5. Final Selection: Subject to medical fitness and acceptance of Terms & Conditions
6. Agreement: Selected candidate must sign contract agreement before engagement

*Mere fulfilling eligibility criteria does not entitle candidate to be called for interview

   • Medical Council of India registration certificate

   • Caste certificate (for OBC candidates - issued on/after 01 April 2025 with Non-Creamy Layer clause)
   • Income & Asset certificate (for EWS candidates - valid for FY 2025-26)

• Engagement purely contractual for 3 years; no renewal after completion
• No claim for regular employment or pay/perks of regular RBI employees
• Contract can be terminated by either side with 3 months notice or 3 months remuneration in lieu
• In case of breach of terms, RBI can terminate contract immediately without notice
• If absenting from duty, BMC must arrange substitute doctor acceptable to RBI (at BMC's cost)
• BMC under administrative control of Regional Director, RBI Ahmedabad
• OBC/EWS candidates: Engagement provisional; subject to caste/income certificate verification
• False information → immediate termination + legal action
• Applications not in prescribed format or without required documents → Summarily rejected
