Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), India’s premier Navratna Defence electronics company under the Ministry of Defence, invites online applications for the post of Trainee Engineer‑I on contract basis for its Homeland Security and Smart City Business (HLS&SCB) SBU at Bengaluru Complex. The posts are temporary, likely to be extended based on project requirements.

• B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering – 4 year course) or M.E./M.Tech in one of the following disciplines:
  • Electronics / ECE / Telecommunication / Communication
  • Electrical / Electrical & Electronics
  • Computer Science / Computer Engineering / IT / Information Science / Data Science
  • MCA – Master of Computer Applications
• Candidates must have obtained their degree from an AICTE / UGC approved institute or recognized university.
• Pass class for General/OBC/EWS; relaxed for SC/ST/PwBD as per guidelines.

Relevant hands‑on project experience preferred. Fresh graduates can also apply if they meet other eligibility conditions.

• Maximum 28 years for UR/EWS category.
• Relaxation: OBC‑NCL – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years, PwBD – 10 years (in addition to other relaxation).

Initial tenure: 2 years from date of joining, extendable by 1 more year based on project performance (maximum 3 years).

Additionally, ₹12,000 per year paid towards insurance, attire, stitching, and footwear allowance.

• Shortlisting based on eligibility.
• Written Test (online/offline) for shortlisted candidates.
• Final selection based on merit and reservation norms.
• Results, exam date, and venues will be notified via BEL website and email.
