CGPSC Recruitment Notification 2025 - Apply Online for 125+ Assistant Professor Posts by 24 December

Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has invited online applications for direct recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in various disciplines under the Medical Education Department. Both medical and eligible non-medical candidates may apply, provided they meet all essential academic qualifications and experience as per the latest National Medical Commission norms. Reserved category candidates, local residents, and female applicants from Chhattisgarh will benefit from applicable relaxations. Selection will be made through a written exam and/or interview. For Non-medical teachers: In specified pre-clinical and para-clinical subjects, non-medical teachers may be appointed up to 30% of department strength if no medical teachers are available.
Live registration: Must have a live registration in State Medical Council/Medical Council of India/NMC.

Minimum 25 years and Maximum 30 years as on 01.01.2025.
Upper age limit for eligible local unemployed of Chhattisgarh: 40 years.
Other relaxation: As per state rules (female, reserved category, ex-servicemen, etc.).

Medical Broad Specialties: MD/MS/DNB in concerned specialty (e.g. Anatomy, Medicine, Surgery, etc.) from recognized university or Institute.
Non-Medical (where applicable): MSc + PhD in relevant subject.
Super-specialty: DM/MCh/DNB in concerned area per latest NMC notification.

Selection by written examination and/or interview, as specified by CGPSC. If applications are high, candidates will be shortlisted based on minimum qualifications and/or marks for interview.

4. Pay the required exam and portal fee through available banking options.

• Academic teaching in assigned specialty for MBBS, MD/MS, or other medical programs.
• Conduct research and guide student projects in line with NMC/college guidelines.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum development, exam and academic activities.
• Patient care (if applicable), supervision of clinical/para-clinical/lab-based activities.
• Any other duties/roles as assigned by the college or CGPSC/Medical Education Department.

• Good analytical, clinical, academic, and communication skills.
