The United Nations OCHA UAE office seeks a Humanitarian Affairs Intern to support coordinated humanitarian action with the Government of the UAE and key partners. - Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher) in political/social science, international relations, public administration, law, economics, communication and media, or another related field.
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree (minimum bachelor’s or equivalent) in the above or related fields.
- Good knowledge of standard software applications: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams.
- Ability to draft news articles and/or social media posts (desirable).
- Ability to design surveys and polls (desirable).
- Support monitoring, analysis, and reporting on humanitarian needs relevant to OCHA’s mandate.
- Assist planning and delivery of events organized or co‑organized by OCHA in the UAE.
- Support development and dissemination of information materials on humanitarian issues and ensure visibility of OCHA UAE partnerships.
- Coordinate meetings and consultations with partners and stakeholders in the country.
- Support management of OCHA UAE’s social media content and visibility of UAE’s humanitarian aid.
- Draft summaries, meeting minutes, and reports; maintain accurate documentation.
- Perform other administrative and coordination tasks as required by the office.
