At Palantir, Fellows begin their journey by exploring fundamental philosophical and historical questions through curated readings and seminars with leading experts. This initial period immerses Fellows in rigorous debate and the open exchange of ideas, laying a strong intellectual foundation before they deploy to active technical teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in intellectual seminars and debates exploring fundamental questions about the West and American exceptionalism with world-class historians, philosophers, scientists, writers, and technologists.
• Transition to working alongside Forward Deployed Engineers and internal software developers to build software and deliver real-world customer outcomes.
• Confront open-ended and ambiguous problems with a high degree of agency, autonomy, and maturity.
• Collaborate effectively with a variety of individuals, including engineers, users, and non-technical team members.
• Make decisions independently, learn proactively, and ask questions when stuck.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Status Requirement: Must have a high school certificate of graduation at the start of the internship.
• Strict Exclusions: Candidates cannot be enrolled in an accredited U.S. university. Candidates cannot have previously earned an undergraduate degree.
• Availability: Must spend Fall 2026 (August - December) exclusively at Palantir; candidates cannot simultaneously be enrolled in university classes.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

• Mindset & Values: Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, guide, lead, and follow. Must possess a sharp intuition for products and a strong degree of user insight.
• Technical Experience: Experience with programming, scripting, or statistical packages (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, SQL) is required for the technical deployment phase of the Fellowship.
• Problem Solving: Extraordinary ability to tackle complex, open-ended problems without a predefined roadmap.
