About UNDP GC-TISD
The UNDP Global Centre for Technology, Innovation and Sustainable Development (GC-TISD) in Singapore is part of UNDP's Digital, AI and Innovation (DAI) Hub. It leverages digital, data, and systems innovation to support governments in addressing complex development challenges. The Centre connects policymakers, practitioners, and experts globally to co-create practical solutions that advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will support the delivery of the Centre’s communications and digital engagement strategy. Key duties include:
- Communications Strategy Support (30%):
- Contribute to the communications strategy and workplan.
- Maintain social media calendars (LinkedIn, X, Viva Engage).
- Review and report metrics for digital platforms and the website.
- Help establish and maintain the brand positioning of the Centre.
- Content Creation and Management (30%):
- Conceptualize content including blogs, videos, infographics, newsletters, and reports.
- Develop graphic and visual content following UNDP brand guidelines.
- Manage and edit the website.
- Event Management Support (30%):
- Assist in planning internal and external events (in-person and online).
- Create and disseminate event-related communications materials (invitations, flyers).
- Ad-hoc Support (10%): Support Centre staff with other tasks as needed.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Status: Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Currently in the final year of a Bachelor's degree.
- Currently enrolled in a Master's degree.
- Have graduated no longer than 1 year ago from a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Field of Study: Communications, Media, Marketing, International Development, Sustainable Development, Political Science, or a related field.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required. Knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage.
- Experience:
- Familiarity with producing communications materials (graphics, videos, blogs, brochures).
- Knowledge of social media trends and the international media ecosystem.
- Experience coordinating events with multiple actors.
- IT Skills: Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams). Knowledge of Canva or PowerBI is an advantage.

Internship Conditions
- Stipend: UNDP provides a monthly stipend of approximately 859.13 SGD.
- Costs: All other expenses (travel, visa, accommodation) are borne by the intern.
- Visa: Interns are responsible for obtaining necessary visas. UNDP is not in a position to support visa applications or work permits.
- Insurance: Interns must provide proof of enrolment in a health insurance plan.
