Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

  • Nationality: You must be a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State. (Note: Due to reached quotas, applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals cannot currently be considered for 2026 start dates.)
  • Educational Status: Your highest educational qualification must be a general secondary education diploma or a shorter non-university degree/vocational diploma. You cannot hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree.
  • Experience Limit: By the application deadline, you must have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since your graduation in a technical or administrative field.
  • Previous Contracts: You must never have held a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
  • Language Skills: The working languages at CERN are English and French. You do not need to be fluent in both to start; language training is provided to help you acquire the other.
