About the Role & Work Environment

The UNESCO Office in Peru is dedicated to contributing to the country's sustainable development by actively promoting education, science, culture, and communication and information. In this context, the Office drives initiatives aimed at strengthening access to, permanence in, and quality of education; protecting cultural and natural heritage; and promoting cultural diversity, access to information, and freedom of expression. As a volunteer, you will be immersed in these critical projects, operating under UNESCO's core values of Commitment, Integrity, Respect for Diversity, and Professionalism.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively support the Communication and Information team in executing strategies aligned with the UN Cooperation Framework for Peru.
• Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives that promote cultural diversity, freedom of expression, and access to information.
• Collaborate on projects aimed at improving educational quality and protecting Peru's rich cultural and natural heritage.
• Participate in team meetings, utilizing modern communication technologies like video conferencing and email correspondence to fulfill administrative and project-based tasks.

Eligibility Criteria & Conditions
