Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), invites applications from dynamic, experienced, and visionary leaders for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on contractual basis. DMIL has been incorporated with the objective of undertaking International Metro Rail Projects outside India and National Projects within India, encompassing Operations & Maintenance, Consultancy, Design, Planning, and Project Development in the Metro and allied Urban Transport sectors.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DMIL shall be responsible for:
- Leading the organization's business strategy for securing and executing International Metro Rail projects outside India and National projects across India
- Building a team to identify suitable opportunities and develop a pipeline securing the approval of the DMIL Board to set priorities
- Developing Business plan and secure approval of the Board
- Driving growth by identifying and pursuing opportunities for expansion, developing new innovative mobility solutions, and ensuring competitiveness in the market
- Providing leadership in areas including Operations & Maintenance, Consultancy, Design, Planning, Project Execution, Business Development in the Metro Rail and Urban Mobility sectors
- Collaboration with International Agencies, Governments, and Industry Stakeholders to expand DMIL's global footprint
- Ensuring Operational excellence, Innovation, and Sustainability in all assignments
- Establishing Organizational Systems, Processes, and Governance mechanisms for efficient project delivery
- Fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation, with a focus on developing sustainable transport solutions to meet the challenges of ecological and digital transitions
- Overseeing the Financial performance of the business unit, managing budgets, P&L, and investment decisions to ensure profitability and economic stability
- Building and managing high-performing teams, promoting diversity and inclusion, and cultivating a positive workplace culture centered on respect and employee well-being
- Providing management oversight and support to the contracts that DMIL secures overseas and in India, to ensure their successful execution
- Establishing Industry best practices and benchmarks
- Aligning DMIL's goals with the Vision and Mission of DMRC
- Note: CEO shall NOT be a member of the Board; however, shall report to the Board of Directors of DMIL

Experience Requirements:
Essential:
- Minimum 25 years of experience in Railways/Metro Rail/Urban Transport sector, of which at least 10 years should be at Senior management level in Operations, Maintenance, Consultancy, Business Development, or Project Execution
- Experience of leading large teams, handling complex Multi-disciplinary projects, and engaging with International clients/partners
- Proven track record of bidding for International Contracts and their Delivery
Desirable:
- Candidates with International experience working at leadership level with a leading firm
- Experience of Business Development in International Metro Sector, Project and Finance
- Past Experience at Managing Director/CEO level
- Govt/PSU Sector:
- Executives working/retired/superannuated in Pay Scale of ₹1,20,000 – ₹2,80,000 (Revised) OR ₹51,300 – ₹73,000 (Pre-revised IDA) or higher
- Minimum length of service required in eligible scale: 5 years (as on 01.10.2025)
- Central Government Officers:
- Officers working/retired/superannuated in Level 14 (₹1,44,200 – ₹2,18,200 of 7th CPC) OR Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) with Grade Pay of ₹10,000 in Pay Band 4 of CDA Grade (₹37,400 – ₹67,000 Pre-revised) or higher
- Minimum length of service required in eligible scale: 5 years (as on 01.10.2025)
- Private Sector:
- Working with an organization of repute with annual turnover of ₹1,000 Crores or more
- Annual Cost to Company (CTC): ₹60 Lakhs and above
- Important: Applicant's candidature shall be considered as "working" only if they continue to be in working post in eligible pay scale/level/grade/CTC at various stages of Selection/Medical Examination/Joining Process and have not superannuated/terminated/resigned
- On expiry of the term, engagement shall stand terminated automatically unless extended
- Contractual engagement may be prematurely terminated by either side by giving 3 months notice period OR remuneration in lieu thereof
