About the Internship
This internship is located in the Communications and External Relations Section of the Office of the Secretary-General at UNCTAD in Geneva. The internship offers hands-on experience in a high-profile international environment, contributing to the organization's visual communication efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Communications Officer, the intern will:
- Design Creation: Draft and create graphic designs for digital and print media, including social media assets, reports, brochures, and event materials.
- Visual Identity: Ensure consistency with UNCTAD's visual identity and branding guidelines.
- Multimedia Support: Assist in the creation of multimedia content such as infographics and short videos.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the communications team to brainstorm and implement creative ideas.
- Asset Management: Organize and maintain the digital asset library (photos, graphics, logos).
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Status: Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master's or PhD).
- Currently enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor's or equivalent).
- Have graduated with a university degree and can start the internship within one year of graduation.
- Field of Study: Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and French (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with collaboration or content tools (Canva, Trello, Figma, etc.) is an asset.
- Competencies: Creativity, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and ability to meet deadlines.
