This internship is located in the Communications and External Relations Section of the Office of the Secretary-General at UNCTAD in Geneva. The internship offers hands-on experience in a high-profile international environment, contributing to the organization's visual communication efforts.

Under the supervision of the Communications Officer, the intern will:

• Design Creation: Draft and create graphic designs for digital and print media, including social media assets, reports, brochures, and event materials.
• Visual Identity: Ensure consistency with UNCTAD's visual identity and branding guidelines.
• Multimedia Support: Assist in the creation of multimedia content such as infographics and short videos.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the communications team to brainstorm and implement creative ideas.
• Asset Management: Organize and maintain the digital asset library (photos, graphics, logos).

• Educational Status: Candidates must meet one of the following:
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master's or PhD).
  • Currently enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor's or equivalent).
  • Have graduated with a university degree and can start the internship within one year of graduation.
• Field of Study: Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, or a related field.

• Language Skills: Fluency in English and French (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Experience with collaboration or content tools (Canva, Trello, Figma, etc.) is an asset.
• Competencies: Creativity, attention to detail, ability to work in a team, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations.
• Expenses: All costs (travel, visas, accommodation, living expenses) are the responsibility of the intern or their sponsoring institution.
• Visa: Interns are responsible for obtaining the necessary visa and work authorization for Switzerland.
• Medical Insurance: Interns must provide proof of valid medical insurance coverage.
