About the Team
The Nature Hub promotes integrated approaches towards nature-positive development that reduces poverty and inequalities. Within this platform, the UNDP global Blue Resilience project (sponsored by the Norwegian government through the Blue Justice Initiative) provides knowledge-driven capacity and technical support to national partners to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and address organized crime in the global fishing industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Organize the User Gathering (50%): Participate in planning meetings, engage with donors, distribute materials, manage registration lists, and support travel arrangements for participants attending the Blue Justice Community User Gathering.
- Logistics and Administration (10%): Support participants during the gathering, assist with communications and social media, take notes during sessions, and liaise with stakeholders in UN City.
- Post-Gathering Support (20%): Participate in drafting the User Gathering report and distribute thank-you notes to participants and stakeholders.
- General Project Support (20%): Provide ad-hoc project support, ensure the project activity tracker is up to date, and draft communications material.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (master's or higher); OR
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (bachelor's or equivalent); OR
- Have graduated with a university degree and start the internship within one year of graduation; OR
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program.
- Field of Study: Environmental management, environmental policy, sustainability management, sustainable development, environmental economics, international relations, communications, or related fields.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Experience: Excellent organizing and analytical skills, including report writing. Strong interest in maritime issues, international relations, and the work of international organizations.
- Technical Skills: Experience developing social media materials and knowledge in the preparation of webinars/virtual workshops using tools like Zoom and MS Teams is an asset.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required.
- Core Competencies: Ability to achieve results, think innovatively, learn continuously, adapt with agility, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Internship Conditions
