About the Team
The Cooling, Circularity and Pollution Prevention (CCPP) team of the Planet Hub, under the Bureau for Programme and Policy Support (BPPS) of UNDP, is at the forefront of efforts to advance cooling efficiency. Linked to the Kigali Amendment framework, the team tackles climate change and phases down the use of substances controlled by the Montreal Protocol. The regional team outpost in Bangkok's Regional Service Center provides policy and technical advisory support to Asia-Pacific countries.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research and Analytical Support (30%): Support background research for Montreal Protocol-related projects, assist in preparing brief research notes and reference materials, and support data review related to refrigerant consumption.
- Project Implementation Support & Reporting (30%): Assist with data collection from country offices and partners, manage project-related documentation, and support basic monitoring of project activities.
- Meetings & Partner Engagement (20%): Provide logistical and coordination support for regional and national meetings, workshops, and webinars. Prepare meeting materials and summaries.
- Ad Hoc Tasks (20%): Provide general programme support to the CCPP regional team, assist with knowledge management, and organize files and internal databases.
Eligibility Criteria
- Currently enrolled in a graduate school programme (Master's or higher); OR
- Currently enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor's); OR
- Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must start the internship within one year after graduation.
- Field of Study: Environmental Science and Engineering.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Languages: Fluency in English is required.
- IT Skills: Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office productivity tools.
- Competencies: Outgoing and initiative-taking with a goal-oriented mindset. Good organizational skills, cultural adaptability, and a constructive attitude.

Internship Conditions
- Stipend: UNDP will provide a monthly stipend in the amount of THB 8,302.50 in accordance with the UNDP internship policy.
- Expenses: All other expenses connected with the internship, including travel, visas, and accommodation, will be borne by the intern or their sponsoring institution.
- Insurance: Interns must provide proof of enrolment in a health insurance plan. UNDP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents or illness during the internship.
