About the Role & Work Environment
The Department of Nuclear Sciences and Applications (NA) implements the IAEA's Major Programme 2, focusing on "Nuclear Techniques for Development and Environmental Protection." The Research Contracts Administration Section (NACA) manages the IAEA's coordinated research activities (CRAs), stimulating R&D across Member States. The selected intern will join NACA to assist in developing and testing IT solutions for project administration, preparing financial analysis reports, and producing vital communication material for outreach purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, rigorous testing, and procedural documentation of new IT systems utilized for managing CRA project proposals and contracts.
- Support the design of additional IT tools, specifically SharePoint platforms, PowerBI Dashboards, and automated document creation solutions.
- Assist in recording, filing, and preparing agreement packages for Coordinated Research Activities and Collaborating Centres.
- Maintain database records, perform comprehensive data clean-up exercises, and prepare ad-hoc financial management reports.
- Assist in the maintenance of related web pages and execute daily operational tasks assigned by the Section Head.
