About the Role & Work Environment
UNHCR is advancing a major corporate HR Transformation aimed at modernizing and streamlining HR service delivery through innovative technology and real-time data, utilizing Workday as its global HR system since 2022. Reporting to the Assistant Business Analyst, the Digital Adoption & Communications Intern will play a pivotal role in developing engaging digital content and promoting user adoption across the organization's communities of practice. This is an onsite, full-time role (Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 17:30 pm) based in Budapest.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop short digital training content, such as videos, to help users navigate Workday effectively based on global user feedback.
- Liaise with Workday focal points across regional offices and HQ to identify learning gaps and gather best practices.
- Support the development of new learning paths in Workday Learning and update knowledge-based articles in Workday Case Management.
- Assist in creating UNHCR/HR SPA-branded communication materials and updating online community platforms like SharePoint.
- Monitor HR SPA intranet page analytics, collect user feedback, and act as a focal point for publishing content.
- Assist in Business as Usual (BAU) activities and change management initiatives related to the Workday People Experience (PEX) module.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Educational Status: Must be a recent graduate (within two years of applying) or a current student in a graduate/undergraduate programme at an IAU/UNESCO accredited institution, having completed at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Technical Skills: Essential experience includes digital communications (social media, web), video content creation, and SharePoint or web content management. Knowledge of design software, Workday, or Articulate Rise is highly desirable.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Working knowledge of French, Arabic, and/or Spanish is considered an asset.
- Core Competencies: Must be a quick learner with strong writing skills, technological literacy, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Internship Limits: Applicants must not have exhausted the maximum cumulative internship period with UNHCR (8 months for full-time).
Remuneration & Conditions
- Financial Allowance: Interns who do not receive financial support from an outside party will receive an allowance from UNHCR to partially cover food, local transportation, and living expenses.
- Travel Costs: UNHCR will reimburse the outward and return travel ticket costs for interns engaged from outside the duty station via the most economical route (authorization required prior to travel).
- Personal Responsibilities: Interns are strictly responsible for acquiring their own visas, residence permits, health insurance coverage applicable to Hungary, and a certificate of good health.
