NABCONS invites applications for District Development Consultants on a project basis for NABARD’s rural development operations in Ladakh. The consultants will be extensively involved in field and desk work across districts to facilitate positive development outcomes.

• MBA/PGDM/MSW/Post Graduation in Rural Development or related field (Two-year full time/regular)
• Or Graduation for retired officers from State/Central government, banks, financial institutions
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in development projects, preferably at district/sub-district level rural work
• Good command of English (written and spoken), proficient in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, excellent drafting and report skills

Preferably below 35 years. Relaxation applicable for retired officers from government services, banks, financial institutions with proven records.

Remuneration will be disbursed monthly. Applicable income tax deductions as per prevailing laws. Travel allowances as per NABCONS norms.

Initial contract of one year, extendable. 3 months probation period during which termination can be made without notice. After probation, 3 months’ notice period on either side for termination.

• Coordinate with NABARD Regional Office, District Administration, Local Governments, NGOs, Financial Institutions.
• Identify district needs via stakeholder consultation and prepare annual work plans.
• Implement NABARD-funded agriculture, rural infrastructure, entrepreneurship projects.
• Provide capacity building, handholding support to NGOs, SHGs, FPOs.
• Monitor project outputs, collect and analyze data, prepare progress reports.
• Enhance credit linkages and partnerships for inclusive financial ecosystems.
• Maintain district database and progress monitoring.
