• Support literature reviews on “Services and Demand” related to climate change mitigation.
• Code and conduct thematic analysis of qualitative results.
• Prepare thematic summaries and identify key narratives.
• Assist in developing visual representations of findings (graphs, theme maps).
• Draft knowledge products (summaries, presentations).
• Participate in research discussions, take notes, and structure outputs.
• Contribute to background research for IPCC publications.
• Support organization of literature reviews using reference management systems.
• Assist with layout, editing, and proofreading of research outputs.

• Master’s degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences, or Climate Change-related subjects.
• Experience in qualitative data analysis and literature reviews.
• Proficiency with reference management software (e.g., Citavi).
• Excellent command of written English.
• High attention to detail and thematic organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with qualitative data analysis software (MAXQDA or similar) is an asset.
• Familiarity with visual presentation of research is an asset.
• Fluency in English is required.

Remuneration is commensurate with experience. Consultants may not provide services for more than 24 months in a 36-month period. UNU is not liable for taxes on remuneration. Travel costs, if required, are reimbursed per UN standards.

This internship offers hands-on experience in climate change research, qualitative data analysis, and knowledge management. Interns will collaborate with global experts and contribute to policy-relevant research for the United Nations.
