About the Programme & Division
The Deutsche Bank Internship Programme is expertly designed to help you develop your skills through formal training and continuous support. The Investment Banking & Capital Markets business provides the full range of advisory and financing products to large-cap corporates, financial institutions, and governments. Interns will contribute to innovative cross-border and regional transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, ESG solutions, and debt and equity capital raising services.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks will immerse you in the market, with responsibilities including:
- Performing in-depth, complex company and industry research and analysis.
- Supporting the execution of high-stakes client advisory and financial transactions while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Preparing critical marketing materials and transaction documentation such as confidential memoranda, board papers, pitch books, and corporate profiles.
- Conducting detailed financial modelling, corporate valuation, and advanced forecasting of financial statements.
- Supporting public clients through market analysis and investor materials to understand how mid- and large-cap companies access capital and enhance valuations (Broking activities).
- Working directly with the Equity Sales and Research teams to service public clients, track markets, and win major IPO opportunities.

Interns may be placed in various dynamic groups within the division, including:
- Sector Coverage: Consumer, Financial Institutions Group (FIG), Healthcare, Industrials, Infrastructure and Utilities, Real Estate/Gaming/Lodging/Leisure (REGLL), and Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT).
- Product Groups: Leveraged Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions.
- Country Coverage: Nordic and UK markets.
Eligibility & Essential Requirements
- Academic Timeline: Must be currently enrolled in and complete your studies (all final exams, coursework, etc.) between 1st August 2026 and 31st July 2027.
- Return to Study: Must be returning to study after internship completion in March 2027, or utilizing this 6-month internship as a mandatory part of your degree completion.
- Grades: Must be on track for a 2:1 or First (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree. Master's degree students must be on track for a Pass.
- Experience Limit: Must possess no more than 12 months of full-time, relevant work experience (excluding previous internships).
- Availability: Must be fully available for the internship dates between September 2026 and March 2027.
- Future Start Date: If successful, must be able to start full-time work in July 2027 (subject to visa and local legislation).
