About the Unit & the Role

The self-funded Supply Chain Management Unit (SCMU) was made operational in January 2022 to ensure that UNFPA maintains end-to-end visibility and accountability for programme supplies across all its global initiatives. By joining the SCMU, you will support efforts to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and help mitigate the negative impacts of global crises on women's and girls' access to sexual and reproductive health.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Status: Candidates must meet ONE of the following:
  • Be enrolled in a first university degree programme (bachelor's or equivalent) and have completed at least one full academic year.
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (master's or higher).
  • Have recently graduated with a university degree and be able to commence the internship within one year of graduation.
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional trainee programme and undertake the internship as part of it.
• Language Skills: Written and spoken proficiency in either English or French is required. Fluency in another official UN language is highly desirable.
• Interests: Must demonstrate a clear interest in the field of international development.
• Family Restrictions: Individuals whose father, mother, son, daughter, brother, or sister is currently a UNFPA staff member are strictly ineligible for this internship.
