UNFPA is the lead United Nations agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is intended, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. The UNFPA Strategic Plan for 2026-2029 focuses on ending the unmet need for family planning, ending preventable maternal deaths, and ending gender-based violence and harmful practices.
This roster allows UNFPA to identify eligible candidates for internship opportunities that arise throughout the year (2026) across various locations. Selected interns will contribute to the organization's response to complex global environments and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
While specific duties vary by assignment and location, interns generally assist with:
- Supporting the implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD).

- Educational Status: Candidates must meet one of the following:

- Have recently graduated (must start internship within one year of graduation).
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional trainee programme.
- Family Restriction: Individuals with immediate family members (father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister) working as UNFPA staff are not eligible.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English or French is required. Fluency in the official language of the specific UNFPA office (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is an asset.
