About the Role & Work Environment
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the UN's sexual and reproductive health agency, working to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. Based in Antananarivo, the Youth Innovator Intern will work under the general direction of the UNFPA Representative and the direct supervision of the Adolescent Program Specialist for Young People and HIV. The primary objective of this role is to promote innovation among young people, helping them develop digital solutions that contribute to UNFPA's transformative outcomes while simultaneously boosting their own employability and professional experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper daily functioning of the UNFPA innovation room in close partnership with the Communication team.
- Support and actively accompany young people in developing their innovation projects within the dedicated workspace.
- Develop engaging media and social media communication strategies to promote youth initiatives and technological solutions.
- Assist in monitoring the implementation of the collaborative innovation action plan with Orange Madagascar.
- Facilitate creative reflection on various innovation aspects within the broader Youth program framework.
