About the Role & Work Environment
UNHCR takes the lead in protecting people forced to flee wars and persecution around the world. The Innovative Finance team develops and manages mechanisms that diversify funding sources and introduce new models for financing protection and environmental outcomes. As a Fellow based in Geneva, you will play a crucial role in the active resource mobilization phase of the Refugee Environmental Protection (REP) Fund. You will assist in donor research, preparation of engagement materials, and coordination of outreach activities to support evidence-based strategic decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of donor-facing materials related to the REP Fund, including briefing notes, concept summaries, and tailored pitch materials.
- Conduct comprehensive desk research on prospective donors, foundations, and corporate philanthropic entities relevant to the REP Fund.
- Draft and refine concise, donor-oriented content by translating technical subjects (like carbon finance and clean cooking) into accessible language.
- Maintain internal tracking of donor engagements, follow-ups, and fundraising milestones while assisting in coordination with Private Sector Partnerships teams.
