About UNHCR (Private Sector Partnerships)
The Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Unit in Italy raises funds from private donors and builds a supporter base to help refugees. The PSP DB&Analysis team manages the Database and CRM infrastructure, Software Architecture, Data Strategy, and Quality Analysis for all business areas. The intern will support data management and analysis under the supervision of the CRM Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Provide support to deliver reports and analysis, conduct data queries, and selections to support various projects.
- Use statistical tools and software to interpret data sets and identify trends or patterns.
- Prepare reports and presentations based on data analysis.
- Database Management & Support:
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and managing data from various sources.
- Support Salesforce project implementation, including Data Quality activities and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Perform data cleansing activities to merge and convert duplicated contacts using CRM and advanced Excel functionalities.
- Administrative & Research:
- Conduct literature reviews and background research upon request.
- Provide general administrative support to the team and liaise with external services and suppliers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education Status: Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Be a recent graduate (completed studies within two years of applying); OR
- Be a current student in a graduate/undergraduate programme from an accredited university.
- Academic Standing: Must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a relevant field.
- Legal Status: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Italy.
- Family Check: Individuals with immediate family members working as UNHCR staff (including Affiliate Workforce) are not eligible.
Educational Qualification
Current students (completed 2+ years) or recent graduates in fields relevant to Data Analysis, Database Management, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, Python, Google BigQuery, Power BI).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail in data handling.
- Languages: Proficiency in Italian is required (to liaise with external suppliers). Fluency in English is required (official working language).
- Soft Skills: Ability to work in a team, flexibility, critical thinking, and adaptability.

Intern Specific Text & Conditions
- Allowance: Interns who do not receive financial support from an outside party will receive an allowance to partially help cover the cost of food, local transportation, and living expenses.
- Working Hours: Full-time role, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).
