About the Programme (BIOFIN/PANORAMA)
BIOFIN (Biodiversity Finance Initiative) is a global program that has developed a methodology to measure biodiversity expenditures and design finance solutions. PANORAMA is a multi-partner initiative to document and promote replicable solutions for conservation. This internship supports the collaboration between BIOFIN and PANORAMA to share implementation experiences as replicable solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
The intern will report to the BIOFIN Knowledge Management Specialist and PANORAMA Project Coordinator. Responsibilities include:
- Research & Documentation: Research, analyze, and document BIOFIN implementation experiences and identify finance solutions for the PANORAMA global platform.
- Knowledge Management: Assist in updating the BIOFIN Catalogue of Finance Solutions and develop an inventory of global publications/courses referencing BIOFIN.
- Content Creation: Synthesize research outcomes into formats tailored to BIOFIN thematic activities; contribute to blogs, articles, and social media.
- Event Support: Support the organization of events, webinars, and regional calls.
- Media Monitoring: Monitor, analyze, and synthesize media coverage of BIOFIN and update the relevant database.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Status: Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (Master's or higher).
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (Bachelor's or equivalent).
- Have recently graduated (must start internship within one year of graduation).
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
- Language Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency/knowledge in French or Spanish is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Excellent writing skills are required.
- Experience in biodiversity, conservation, or finance is an asset.
- Familiarity with social media platforms or digital media channels is an asset.
- Competencies: Excellent research and organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and ability to work in a multi-cultural remote team.

Stipend & Internship Conditions
- Stipend: Interns receive a monthly stipend in accordance with UNDP rules and regulations.
- Insurance: Interns are responsible for securing their own medical and life/accident insurance valid for the location of the internship.
- Costs: All other costs (travel, accommodation, etc.) must be borne by the intern or their sponsoring institution.
- Employment: There is no expectation of employment at the end of the internship.
