The Security, Safety & Resilience (SSR) team invites interns to help create a resilient and secure environment for staff working in challenging contexts. This internship offers a meaningful learning experience where you will grow, acquire valuable skills, and connect with professionals sharing the same mission.

• Redesign & Pilot Risk Assessment Tool:
  • Review existing tools and gather feedback to improve security processes.
  • Assist in designing a new online format and building a prototype.
  • Run a pilot and collect feedback to simplify security compliance.
• Analyze & Improve System Connections:
  • Conduct a compatibility study to understand how systems work together.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data collection and reporting.
  • Present creative options for using data across multiple platforms to enhance insights.

• Student Status: Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate/graduate programme (graduated within the last 2 years).
• Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or F-1 student with valid work authorization).
• Faith Requirement: Must adhere to World Vision International's Christian Statement of Faith.
• Availability: Able to commit to at least 24 hours per week for the entire internship period (1 June - 28 August 2026).

This is a remote internship, but candidates must be physically located in one of the following states where WVI is registered as an employer:

• Arizona
• California
• Colorado
• Connecticut
• District of Columbia

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

• Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft tools is essential:
  • Excel (Power Query)
  • Power Automate
  • SharePoint
  • Power BI
• Bonus Skills: Experience with AI prompt design (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) or R Studio is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, active listening, curiosity, and creativity.
• Equipment: Willingness to use your own electronic devices for the internship (WVI endpoint security software will be installed).
