About the Internship Programme

This paid internship provides an opportunity to practice project coordination and administrative skills in a professional setting. The intern will work closely with the Private Sector Engagement and Development Teams to assess potential areas of risk and opportunity in corporate partnerships. The role involves processing requests, developing internal resources, and using tools like the Risk Filter Suite (Water Risk Filter and Biodiversity Risk Filter) to research corporate supply chains.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Due Diligence Management:
    • Manage queue of due diligence research requests and prioritize based on coordination with teams.
    • Update SharePoint databases with incoming information and decisions.
    • Pull due diligence reports from licensed ESG databases and make recommendations for process improvement.
  • Process Improvement & Training:
    • Collaborate with expert consultants and the Due Diligence lead to update processes.
    • Document business process changes and post guidance materials to SharePoint.
    • Plan and train WWF corporate relationship managers on interpreting research.
  • Research & Analysis:
    • Conduct desktop prospect and due diligence research on potential partners.
    • Research agricultural commodity sourcing, material production, and sustainability standards.
    • Develop sustainability expertise in diverse sectors and contribute to business intelligence resources.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Education: Current or recent graduate student in a relevant field (Corporate Sustainability, Business Administration, Natural Resources, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or Sustainable Development).
  • Note: Highly qualified undergraduate students may also be considered.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. RScript capabilities are desired.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, adaptability, initiative, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with database management, enterprise risk management, global environmental impact trends, or corporate sustainability strategy is preferred.
