- Perform tasks and responsibilities as specified in the Terms of Reference (TOR) prepared by the hiring office.
- Contribute to FAO’s work in various fields based on academic background and organizational needs.
- Report to an assigned supervisor.
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree programme at a recognized institution, or a recent graduate.
- Specialization in a field relevant to FAO’s mission and work.
- Working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish); knowledge of a second language is an asset.
- Ability to adapt to an international multicultural environment with good communication skills.
- FAO Core Competencies: Results Focus, Teamwork, Communication, Building Effective Relationships, Knowledge Sharing and Continuous Improvement.
The internship is designed to supplement academic knowledge with practical work assignments in FAO’s domains. Interns will contribute to the transformation of agri-food systems for better production, nutrition, environment, and life, supporting the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
