The Department of Global Communications (DGC) raises awareness of the work of the United Nations. The position is located in the Video Section of the News and Content Branch, News and Media Division. This internship is designed to be full-time and in-person, under the supervision of the Chief of the Video Section.
Interns will be trained to work with producers in creating videos for various products, including feature video programs, social media, and news videos. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in video production, editing, and analytics within the UN system.
- Video Production & Editing:
- Assist in script writing and captioning videos in language.
- Edit content using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Participate in creating feature video programs, social media content, and news videos.
- Design & Analytics:
- Perform ad hoc duties including design and animation.
- Assist in studio recordings and the analytics of video products.
- Research & Distribution:
- Perform research on content distribution channels by studying best industry practices.
